Teaching Skills 2
January 28
$55In this second part of our two part series, this session focuses on supporting people to learn new skills using individualised, effective prompts while ensuring these prompts are gradually faded to promote independence and autonomy. Participants will explore strategies for selecting and implementing prompts tailored to the individual and techniques for fading them systematically to build confidence and self-reliance. The session will also address the risks of over-reliance on prompts, including increased vulnerability, learned helplessness, over-compliance, and reduced autonomy. By the end, attendees will be equipped to support skill development in a way that empowers individuals to reach their full potential.
